I'm a Colombian-Canadian bilingual freelance reporter who began my career reporting for Latin American, Filipino and West Indian newspapers in Canada for over four years. I also wrote political and global security articles for the National Post’s world section and covered Toronto local news.
I have expertise in corporate communications and PR, which I gained working for different organizations including Oxford Brookes University, where I managed the communications of its digital transformation programme and later as senior PR and communications executive at Element Six, De Beers.
I have a bachelor in journalism from Ryerson University, Canada and an MA in Development and Emergency Practice at Oxford Brookes University. My academic research focuses on the freedom of expression of refugees.
